Meanwhile, Lulu picked up her phone again, staring determinedly but coolly at the screen.
She decided to answer if Zachary called again.
However, just as she was about to go to take a bath, a call came from Abigail.

Lulu hesitated for a while but answered with her raspy voice-her voice had changed a little following her plastic surgery.
“Have you been resting?” Abigail’s voice was soft and lively.
Lulu did not answer, however. Pausing for a moment, she then sighed. “I saw him.”
Abigail certainly knew who she was talking about-she knew they would eventually meet, but not that soon! “And?”
“And what?” Lulu chuckled sourly, stroking her phone. “My daughter matters, and every mother always puts their child first. I hope she’ll grow up happy!”
She would do everything she could to make sure that happened!
Abigail was quiet for a while but soon told her wourself! Thou should take care of yourself!

Abigail laughed she would fail as a mother and wife if she left again.

After hanging up, she stared at her door for a long while-she had no idea when it started, but Lulu and Zachary’s lives had become two parallel lines, having no chance of intersecting.

Over in Franconia, Abigail was still more or less concerned after her call with Lulu. After all, Lulu had gone through multiple surgeries without proper recovery, so Abigail was worried her body could not take it!
Diarmuid had arrived home just then and was left frowning when he found Abigail distracted. “What is it?”
“You’re early,” Abigail replied, coming to her senses.
“I’m done with work,” Diarmuid replied, his gaze flickering just then—he could not tell her that he would like to spend more time with her now that she was back, could he?
Pierre came up to them, asking, “Dinner is ready, sir. Shall we start serving?”
“Yeah,” Diarmuid said and put an arm around Abigail’s shoulders as they headed to the dining hall.
“Did you come back early because of me?” Abigail suddenly asked.
Diarmuid was tsundere as ever. “I just finished work early.”
Abigail smiled. “Really?”
“What’s there to lie about?” he said, turning away.
Abigail pursed her lips and did not expose him as they sat down.
“Here, eat,” Diarmuid said, putting food on her plate.
As she ate, he said, “After this, I’m checking if you’re skinnier after your time in Minerva.”
abigail flushed immediately and snapped softly, “i’m not!”
Thankfully, Sheryl and the children were not at home!
Back at Zidonia. Lulu was seated primply at the window seatit was her favorite spot where she could watch the people walking pastEventually noon arrived, and a robust figure arrived at the doorway.
