Chapter 3: The Stranger
“Damn! This place looks so heavenly. “
Kira squeals as we all arrive at the entrance of the club and we all stare around the building.
It smells like fun in there and I instantly cringe.
Different people trooping in and out and some hanging around by the side, mostly those that are making out against the wall.
I gulp in before we all make our way inside and it looks, even more, better on the inside than it looks on the outside.
The music booms through the entire room and I can hardly hear a single thing in here except the loud music booming through with people swaying my body towards the beat.
“Okay, boys and girls. Welcome to fun!!! “
Bryan shouts over the loud music and I clutch tightly to my bag and my novel which I still plan on reading but I think that plan might go flatly down the ruin cause there’s no way in hell I can even think of reading in a place like this.
I breathe out as we finally push through the crowd and all grab a seat, facing the bartender. I can’t help but to turn back and stare around everywhere, bodies gliding against each other on the dance floor and people drinking themselves to stupor.
They all ordered for something while I keep wondering how the hell I’m gonna read the novel in here. The light is dimmed in here and the loud music would not allow me to enjoy a thing of what I will read.
I sigh, still holding tightly to the novel when I’m trapped by someone.
I swirl in my seat, and it’s this strange guy or man? He has dark hair and green eyes. In short, he looks really intimidating and even quite older than me.
“What will you like to have, babe? “
Wait, what? Babe? Did he just call me babe?
I’m more or less like his younger sister. I guess Kira did a number on me. I feel like I’m not a high school student either.
“Um, nothing. Thanks. “
I start moving the stool back, hoping my friends would at least pay some attention towards me but they are all busy drinking and yelling over the loud music.
“Oh, come on. I know a pretty girl like you will want something to drink. Am I not right? “
He says with a cheeky smile and I shake my head.
He brings his hand to my cheek and I slap it away instantly.
“Stay the fuck away from me! “
I yell over the loud music, earning the friend’s attention of course.
“Old man. Get away from her! “
Jason hisses, coming towards me and the man growls, turning to him.
I can see the darkness in his eyes and I’m scared he would hurt Jason.
“And if I don’t stay away from you, what will you do? “
The man starts moving towards him and I can feel him shaking but he’s trying to act brave.
This is why it isn’t a good idea for high school students to come to a club.
It’s full of lots of crazy people who only want to either get off with any lady they see or drink themselves to stupor.
I told the guys I wasn’t interested anyways but they had refused to listen to me. Now, it has turned to this.
“It’s not what he will do. It’s about what we will do. “
The other guys show up, standing behind Jason, who seems to have suddenly gained confidence from there.
“You heard him. Stay away from her, old man. Go find another pussy to stick your damn dick in! “
I’m not surprised at all when Bryan had said that.
He’s known to be quite wild anyways.
“And what do you think you little will do to me if I don’t say away from her? “
“I don’t think you should underestimate people that much, stay the fuck away from her or I swear you’re going to regret it!”
Bryan snarls, obviously hoping that would scare him away but he only scoffs before turning back to me, his eyes boring into me.
“I will have you later, I promise.”
He winks before walking away while I release a breath I didn’t realise I was holding.
“Are you okay? ”
Bryan asks, sitting beside me and placing his hand on the small of my back and I nod, smiling at him.
“I need a drink. “
I sigh. Maybe for once in my life, I should forget about everything.
I’m tired of staying here, being the only one that cares about everything. Been the only one that the whole weighs on highly.
“Are you sure? “
He raises his brows at me and I chuckle before nodding.
Just let me join the queue of those drinking themselves to stupor tonight.
After all, it’s just for this one night and although I had planned originally to stay by the sidelines I don’t think that’s going to work anymore.
***
“Damn! That’s the sixth drink you will have in ten minutes. “
Lily said, staring at me and I chuckle, smiling at her before grabbing the glass and gulping down the drink in one shot.
It’s better than I thought. It helps me to not care about everything and to not think about anything either.
I feel like the more I drink, the less I care about everything that’s going on around me. The more I feel numb about everything.
I wanted more. More and more, and I plan on getting it.
I pass the bartender the glass and he stares at me, a disapproving look spread across his face.
He doesn’t understand. He wouldn’t.
I need to drink until I feel entirely numb.
I need to drink until I can’t think right anymore.
My ability to think is slowly fading away and I need it to fade away entirely.
I will have to drink to achieve that.
“That’s the sixth glass you will have. It’s really strong, are you sure you can handle it? “
He raises his brows at me and I giggle before nodding.
He sighs but doesn’t object and pass me another and I gulp it down immediately.
The drink burned down my throat and was hot on my tongue.
I close my eyes for a brief moment, allowing the drink to slide down and fade away from my senses.
I breathe out, opening my eyes and staring across the room.
I can feel the weight lift away from my heart and my body feels entirely numb.
“Are you okay? “
I turn and it’s Brad. No Aidan. No, it’s Ethan. Damn! I think I might have had a lot of drinks, I can’t even say Dylan name properly.
Oh god! It’s Bryan!
“Yeah, never… Never been better. “
The words slur through my mouth and for once, I can feel everything not making sense.
“This is what I’m talking about when I said we should have fun! Damn! I’m fucking happy! “
Kira nods her head to the beat of the music and I giggle along with her.
Geez! When did I start giggling?
“Why are you not drinking? “
I turn to Ethan… Bryan, who for some weird reason, has been staring at me.
“I need to look after you. You are wasted. “
He says and I roll my eyes before turning back to the others.
I don’t want to be taken care of. I feel like that cycle has been repeating over and over in my entire life!
“I want to dance..”
I shout over the loud music and a pair of eyes turn to me immediately while I giggle.
“I feel like doing the same thing, come on girl. Let’s rock this fucking party!”
Lily starts rocking her hips as she stands up and make her way over to me. I giggle before attempting to stand up but I’m pulled back by Bryan.
“Are you sure you’re going to be alright?”
He stares at me with concern written all over his face but I flip him off.
“Oh come on! I’m not a kid.”
I roll my eyes at him before moving to the dance floor with the girls.
I move my hips around, even though I have no idea what the fuck I’m doing but it feels so damn good that I can’t stop it.
One moment, I was dancing with the girls and the second moment, I’m rocking my hips against another’s and I have no idea who it is but telling by the way his slight erection presses to my hips, I can tell it’s a guy.
I don’t care though and I just keep moving my hips against his and his hands moves down pinching my hips and a strange feeling shoots through my body before he turns me swiftly back and my breathing got caught.
I’m staring at the most beautiful pair of eyes I’ve ever seen and it shines under the dimmed light.
I can’t quite put out his face because before I could take in his complete feature, his lips descend on mine. Hands going around my waist and before I could think, I’m kissing back.
