Chapter 366 – Second Chance Love of the Missing Groom Novel

They were not professional crisis negotiators—they were not saving anyone even if they went up there.

Moreover, with so many journalists waiting downstairs, they might get dragged into it.

“Don’t you find it weird?”

Abigail gave Ricky a look after they entered the elevator.

“What’s weird?”

Ricky did not get it—perhaps he was not as sharp because it did not really concern him.

“All those journalists were already waiting before that person did it.Where could they have gotten the news?”

Abigail knows that it was no coincidence because this was not an apartment block or residential area.

If they really wanted to kill themselves, why did they have to pick Globe Tower? Moreover, everyone was aware that she and Diarmuid would have their wedding here, but would it really go on as scheduled if there was a jumper the day before? Certainly not!

“Right,” Ricky understood then, but quickly asked.

“But don’t you think it would be dangerous if we go up there unprepared?”

“I think it’s a woman, and it’s ideal if we could talk her out of it.”

“What if we fail?” Ricky asked.

Abigail did not reply, but she already knew the answer—they were not going to hold their wedding where someone just died.

Soon, the elevator stopped.

As she stepped out, she saw that there was no one around on the floor at all, which was weird for a landmark like Globe Tower. She became even more convinced that this whole thing was planned.

At the same time, the woman at the window sensed movement and turned around. She smiled when she saw Abigail.

“Long time no see.”

Abigail frowned.

“Robin Lynd?”

It was Ian Althoff’s girlfriend.

But Ian had already returned to Althoff Manor!

“Who put you up to this?” Abigail asked directly.

Robin laughed.

“You people know what you did.You made him forget everything, didn’t you? Well, he’s forgotten me too, so do you think he put me up to this?”

Abigail had no idea what Diarmuid did to Robin before, let alone how she showed up here.

“What do you want?” she asked.

“What do I want?”

Robin laughed savagely.

“You people locked me up and tortured Ian, reducing him to a dimwit! He doesn’t even recognize me, and it’s all because of you!”

“He was the one who attacked us first.Who would bother him if he stayed in line? You’re just being unreasonable, and we were kind enough to give him a clean slate and start again!”

“Hah!”

Robin flashed a maniacal grin.

“Does that mean I should thank you people for your noble gesture?”

“You’re welcome,” Abigail replied coolly.

“Fuck you!” Robin spat furiously.

“We were locked up like animals, tortured and living like vermin. Do you think I would just sit and watch while you and Diarmuid Althoff get your happily ever after?! No fucking way!”

“So what?” Abigail grimaced.

“Are you going to use your life to retaliate?”

“Yes! That’s all I have now!”

Robin growled with a look of determination.

“I’ll die willingly as long as it makes you suffer!”

Abigail suddenly laughed in disdain.

Using her own life just to cause them a little setback? How stupid could she get? “Are you mocking me?! Who do you think you are?!”

Robin screamed with unhinged rage.

“Just watch —I’ll make you suffer! It’ll be all over the news once I jump.Do you still think you can get married here?!”

Abigail simply turned away.

Robin’s spite had overcome her mind and she was now blind to reason.

Since she made up her mind, they should just let her be.

“Abigail Bernstein!”

Seeing that she was leaving, Robin leapt away from the window and charged toward Abigail, grabbing her clothes and dragging her to the window! “Now, die!!!”

Robin’s abrupt move caught Abigail off guard and she could not quickly free herself, allowing Robin a firm hold.

“Let go! “

Ricky dashed up to pry Robin’s hand off, but she caught Abigail’s hand the instant she let go.

Raving mad, Robin was bent on taking Abigail with her!

“You’re crazy!”

Ricky snapped, infuriated by her frenzy.

“Just die alone if you want to!”

“No, I’ll take her with me to my grave!”

Robin cried, her strength bolstered by her madness.

Ricky was afraid of shoving Robin’s hand because she might pull Abigail’s hair off, and he kept bellowing furiously, “Let go!”

“Hahaha!”

Robin laughed maniacally.

“No, I won’t!””

Ricky narrowed his eyes, then suddenly leaned downward and bit down on Robin’s hand!

“Argh!”

Robin cried out in pain.

Ricky seized the moment to pry Robin’s hand off and push her away, causing her to stumble backward in pain and knock into the windowsill.

Ricky then gave her yet another firm push.

“Fuck off already! Crazy bitch, pulling a woman’s hair!”

Robin lost her footing completely this time and her body teetered backward before her entire person dropped out of the window!

“Now Abigail sharply noticed the danger and darted forward to catch Robin, but she was too far away! While Abigail missed, Ricky was left dumbstruck—he had pushed Robin in the heat of the moment, but he did not intend to push her out of the window!

“She’s dead!”

The crowd gathered beneath the tower erupted in an uproar, shouting and screaming endlessly! Soon, the journalists who were waiting rushed upstairs! Knowing how terrible the situation was, Abigail quickly grabbed Ricky’s hand.

“We need to go!”

Still bewildered, Ricky followed her along without really thinking.

They took the stairs instead of the elevator, since they might run into the journalists.

“Did I just kill her?” Ricky suddenly asked.

“Don’t think about it,”

Abigail assured him— getting out of there took priority! As they were anxious to get out of there, they ran ten floors below and were left wheezing.

That was when Abigail froze, hearing other footsteps.

She peered down through the railing to see journalists running up the stairs too—if they kept going, they would run into those journalists.

Still, she was quick witted enough to pull Ricky to the floor they were at and hide in one of the rooms.

Then, whipping out her phone, she called a number, which was soon answered.

“Diarmuid,” she cried urgently.

“I’m at Globe Tower right now, but there are many journalists here. You have to send them away and get me out of here.”

“Okay.”

Diarmuid did not ask anything, but he simply hung up and rushed to Globe Tower. He frowned when he saw the journalists and police who arrived downstairs, smelling a rat right then.He whipped out his phone to call Abigail.

“I’m here.Where are you? I’ll come to you.”
