Chapter 14 – After the One-Night Stand with a Heartless Billionaire

“Mommy, I’m going out!” After packing her bag, Tammy shouted at Anna and walked to the door.

Anna asked drowsily, “Where are you going?”

“To the cafe you often took me to. I want to buy some ice cream.”

“Be careful. Come home immediately after you buy the ice cream,” Barely awake, Anna mumbled.

“Don’t worry, Mom. I often go to the cafe and the staff there all know me. Relax.”

As she turned to the side in bed, Anna said, “Okay. Remember to get me one ice cream. Thanks, hon.”

And Tammy started to run excitedly towards the café after walking downstairs. She was smiling happily. At the same time, an extended Bentley stopped at the café and an old man dressed in black got out of it.

“Sir, this way, please,” His assistant, who was standing next to him, said to the old man respectfully.

The old man looked around and frowned, saying, “This is absurd! Never had I thought that I would end up going on a blind date for my grandson at this age. Why can’t we get someone to pretend to be him? Once we find the right woman, we’ll let Wayne marry her straight away.”

“I’m afraid it’ll be a bad idea, sir. Wayne is well-known around the town. No one would believe that he’s seeing someone when they see his profile on the dating website. Even if they buy it, they’d think that it’s a scam. So, I think we’d better pick the woman in person.”

“That’s true,” The old man sighed, “Forget it. I’ll do it for the sake of Wayne. Oh, yes. Nearly forgot about the ice cream.” Then he walked towards a table next to the window.

In no time, his assistant quickly ordered the ice cream and then placed it in front of the old man. As he found it amusing to see a stern old man with a large bowl of strawberry ice cream in front of him, the assistant almost laughed out loud.

“Laugh and I’ll make you sit here.” The old man rolled his eyes as he fumed.

Then, the door opened. Yet, they could not see anyone enter. They then looked down and saw a cute girl skipping into the cafe. Looking around, the little girl locked her gaze at the ice cream. Then she shifted her gaze to the old man behind it. And she hesitated for a moment before going over.

“Hi, sir.”

Upon hearing her cute voice, the old man instantly raised his head. When looking at the little girl, he couldn’t help exclaiming to himself, Who are you, little girl? You look so cute! Also, why would I have the feeling that we’ve met each other before?

“You can’t be Wayne!” Tammy looked doubtfully at him with her dazzling eyes and said, “Are you Wayne’s family member?”

A bit surprised, Old Mr. Wright said to her gently, “How did you know?”

Tammy climbed onto the seat and introduced herself, “I’m Anna Gabriel’s daughter. I’m trying to find a husband for my mother. So I was the one who asked you out.”

Old Master Wright gasped, “Little girl, I didn’t expect that a little girl like you would be looking for a husband for your mommy.”

Tammy blinked and replied, “Mr., I also didn’t expect that you would have to look for a wife for your son at your age.”

Old Master Wright was stunned for several seconds before bursting out in laughter, “Hah, hah! Actually, I’m not looking for a wife for my son but my grandson.”

Looking at him seriously, Tammy said respectfully, “Sir, tell me what kind of woman you’re looking for and I’ll see if my mother is suitable.”
