Chapter 36 – The Moon Wolf

“It’s almost time for my ceremony to start. You guys take care of Lola for me, I’ll be back before you know it“, she said hurriedly before heading towards the stage where Alpha Jayden, Luna Rose and some other elderly people of the pack were gathered.

She looked gorgeous and shone brighter than anyone under the moonlight. The ceremony started but I wasn’t really paying attention, my mind was occupied by a certain man who was standing next to Nathan beside the stage. His eyes were on me all night and I could not understand why. I cleared my throat and decided that I needed to take a sip of water.

“Where can I get water? I’m so thirsty“, I asked Lotana and she pointed towards a makeshift bar with all manners of drinks displayed on it. I picked a bottle of water and gulped half of it, feeling refreshed. Why do I feel so hot tonight?

I felt a presence beside me but I ignored it. Anyone could come here to get a drink. I was about to go back to the group when a voice stopped me.

“Lola, yeah?” I looked towards the owner of the voice and saw the woman from earlier beside me. She smiled at me but it did not make me feel safe, in fact, it scared me.

“I’d suggest you reject Adrian and leave him alone. He’s never going to love you anyway. No one is ever going to love you, freak“, she smiled at me sinisterly before she left.

I was in shock after she left and just couldn’t believe my eyes nor ears. The only thought on my mind was, what the heck was that?

Unknown’s POV

My phone buzzed with a message and I reached for it quickly. I smiled when I saw a picture of my gorgeous angel on my screen. She looked effortlessly beautiful and amazing and I felt my dick stir in my pants as I took in her picture.

I reached for my dick and slowly rubbed it to the picture of the angel before me. It wasn’t long before I spilled my seed on

my stomach.

If she could make me feel so good with a picture, I’m going to have so much fun with her b*dy. I closed my eyes and anticipated the time I’d get to keep her to myself. I just need her to unlock her full potential, then she’d be nine.

Soon, angel. Very soon, I’m going to have you to myself and myself alone, I thought as I drifted off to sleep.

Adrian’s POV

She was gone from my presence before I could send Fay away. I tried searching for her when another figure showed up in front of me. I closed my eyes and sent a silent prayer to the Moon goddess to give me the strength to not break someone’s n*eck today.

I opened my eyes only to see Nathan in front of me grinning wildly. Must be nice to have someone you’ve always wanted as a mate as your mate.

He noticed that I wasn’t mirroring his excitement and his smile disappeared and was replaced by a frown. “Who pissed in your cereal? You look like you’re about to go on a killing spree“, he observed and I took a deep sigh.

He wasn’t the reason I lost sight of Lola,I did not need to take out my frustrations on him.

“I was just disturbed by something, I’m fine. Where’s your precious mate and why are you not with her?” I asked him. If I saw Lyla, I’d see Lola too. She’s her only friend and they tend to be together.

“Oh, she’s with some group of friends. And I can’t hover around her everytime, she doesn’t like it“, he grinned and I shook my head at him. He’s far gone in love and nothing can pull him out of it.

I want to feel that with Lola too but I fucked things up royally.

“And besides, she’s making Lola make new friends and see new people“, he added and I think I got a whiplash from looking at him so fast.

“Are there guys in the group of people she’s meeting with?” I asked, trying to keep the jealousy out of my voice and keep Daxon at bay.

He nodded his head and a low growl escaped my l*ps. Nathan started laughing, the motherfucker actually laughed. I looked at him quizzically but he kept on laughing.

“Dude, you should have seen your face when I mentioned another guy. If you care about her so much, why don’t you make the first move on her and accept her as your mate instead of making the two of you suffer unnecessarily?” He asked. I wanted to tell him how I fucked up but I knew how bad Nathan frowned upon that particular act and I felt – ashamed to speak to him about it.

I just shrugged my shoulders and kept looking around for Lola. I eventually spotted her at the far end of the garden, talking to a group of four people with Lyla beside her. She seemed fine and happy and she would sometimes laugh with them.

I wanted her to be that relaxed with me too but she seems to freeze anytime I get close to her.

“You made us lose that opportunity, dude. You don’t have the right to complain about not being close to her“, Daxon said in my head.

He was right. I did make us lose that opportunity so I better suck it up. Lyla soon left the group she was with to go to the prepared stage for her coming of age ceremony. Nathan moved to stand beside the stage and I followed after him. He was the future Beta and her mate after all and I also had to stand there as the future Alpha.
