Wayne cast a glance at the thick pile of papers on the table worriedly. Although Richard did not work in the group in recent years, he did a lot of terrible stuff behind the scenes. Wayne had sorted everything out and was ready to settle the score with him later.
At that time, the maid knocked at the door and said, “Miss Gabriel and her family are here, and they are now chatting with Peter in the front yard. Would you like to have dinner now or later?”

Anna realized they had progressed from being cautious to provocative. Fortunately, Peter was a well-mannered gentleman. Despite his displeasure at hearing her words, he remained silent.
They only ended the awkward conversation when the maid told them dinner was ready.
As everyone moved forward to the dining room, Anna grabbed Selina and asked, “AuntSelina, why did you bring up the topic? Everyone was so embarrassed just now. And why did you want to take Tammy away?”
Selina patted her on the arm and said, “I’m trying to help you! You and Wayne aren’t married, so you should set some boundaries with their family. You should also be concerned about issues involving children. Tammy should live with you until you get married, in my opinion. You can bring her to my house if you don’t have time to take care of her. Otherwise, they will all believe you have brought a burden into their family.”

She realized that her and Wayne’s relationship was full of twists and turns. They were predestined, just as their lives had been arranged by fate. Therefore, Anna was taken aback that they could be together after six years apart due to a series of coincidences. And she had decided to tell Wayne the truth later on.
Selina appeared much happier during the dinner, most likely because she had been persuaded by Anna. Of course, it might also have something to do with the two kids making the adults laugh. So, Selina didn’t say anything harsh then.
After dinner, Tammy dashed around the table, asking, “Great aunt Selina, is my mom going to marry Uncle Wayne?”
Selina smiled softly and said, “Yes. What’s the matter, honey? Don’t you like him?”

“Don’t worry, I’m just kidding with you,” Anna said as she picked him up and patted him on the back.
“Mommy, you can leave my father, but you can’t leave me,” Matthew said, leaning on Anna’s shoulder.
Everyone laughed except Wayne.
Selina gave Wayne a thoughtful look and teased, “You’ve been raising your kid for so many years, and Anna has only known him for six months. But, you see, they are already inseparable. I believe that if you do anything to hurt Anna in the future, your son will undoubtedly help her.’’
Pete knew she was joking and said, “If Wayne dares to do that, I would let Anna stay in my house and kick him out. I don’t want my grandson to disgrace me.’’
When Wayne realized everyone was making fun of him, he said to Matthew helplessly, “Come here, Matthew.”
Matthew wrapped his arms around Anna’s neck, and then turned to Wayne and said, “You’re so mean! My mommy won’t like you.”
Everyone froze, and then burst out laughing. They appeared to be one big, warm, and friendly family. Anna could tell that Selina was no longer hostile to the Wrights but rather friendly.
Then Peter walked Joe and Selina to the door, as he cared about and respected them.
Meanwhile, Selina sat in the back seat of the car, waving to them and saying, “Thank you. It’s freezing here, so you don’t have to walk us out.”
Anna stood at the door, waving to them. She entered the house only after their car had driven away and vanished into the night.
