Chapter 232 – After the One-Night Stand with a Heartless Billionaire

Oh, it seems that I have made a complete fool of myself! Wayne seems to have moved on a long time ago! Anna thought.

Halfway through the party, Anna heard someone standing on the stage tuning the microphone. Then everyone headed there. Anna also had to walk in that direction because she was huddled in the crowd.

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Please allow me to introduce John Gilbert, the president of the Joan Group. Hello. Sir, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

A young man in his thirties who served as the organizer’s director stood on stage and introduced Mr. Gilbert to everyone.

His actions baffled Anna a little bit. She immediately looked for Carr in the crowd and found her looking as puzzled as she was.

They look at each other before shaking their heads at the same time.

John Gilbert took the microphone from the person in charge, smiled, and said, “Thank you. Hello, everyone. I feel privileged to attend this party sponsored by clothes retailers in the two cities on behalf of my group. I’m here not only because my good friends invited me, but also because I have to do something. The Joan Group needs uniforms lately. So, I was hoping you could bid on the competition for this project.”

After he finished speaking, everyone started discussing that.

At that moment, Carr had made her way through the crowd to Anna’s side and frowned, “What a sneaky bastard! I didn’t expect him to do that, because he had just promised me that he would only work with your company. So, why did he suddenly change his mind? This is too outrageous.”

Anna frowned and said, “Oh, I probably know why.”

Carr was stunned and asked, “Huh? Why?”

When Carr turned to face Anna, she saw a man sitting there who seemed out of place in the crowd. He raised his glass to Anna at that same time while leaning back on the couch.

Carr exclaimed while frowning, “Gerard!”

Anna looked over at Carr and said, “Oh? Do you know him? He just asked me to go have a drink with him, but I turned him down. He then said something to me, but I didn’t catch it at the time. It seems that he was the one who made Mr. Gilbert change his mind.”

Anna’s expression became complicated. Then she asked, “It looks like he did this on purpose to make things difficult for me. So, is there anything else I can do? How about I just go for a drink with him?”

Carr immediately looked at Anna and said, “Oh, no! If Jasper finds out I let you do that, he’ll blame me. John may give credit to Gerard’s father, but he’s a professional manager anyway. So, he’ll definitely do things well for his company. Honestly, you can only bid together now. But I’m afraid Gerard might go against you again. He’s a man who will do anything to get his way.”

Anna immediately felt like she was doomed.

I‘m so out of luck! I‘ve just put so much effort into convincing Mr. Gilbert to cooperate with me. Well, I didn‘t expect that I was going to lose this opportunity because Gerard want s to sleep with me. Damn! Anna thought to herself.

Sensing that Gerard was leering at her in the distance, Anna clenched her fist. At that moment, his voice echoed in her head, “Meet me at Room 419 in Moonlight Hotel!”

He must have chosen that room on purpose. It‘s so obvious! I would definitely go there to see what he would do, Anna thought to herself.

After the party was over, Wayne left the room. At that moment, a beautiful woman ran behind him and shouted, “No, Wayne! You misunderstood me!”

Ada ran so fast that her heels made crisp clatters on the marble floor. Gabe had opened the backseat door at that moment. Wayne got into the car without looking back, as if he hadn’t heard Ada’s words. Just as he closed the door, Ada finally ran to the front of the car. However, Gabe stopped her.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Lavar, but you have to leave,” Gabe said, standing in front of the door and gesturing politely. A few words were exchanged between them before Ada stepped out of the way.

“Ada, don’t let Richard get to you,” Pichard chuckled. “It seems that you think I’m as omnipotent as Uma!”

Ada looked confused, as if she didn’t care about what they were saying. “What are you going to do?” she asked. “I don’t want to do anything. I must make plans for my future.”

The palm trees in front of the hotel rustled as the cool autumn breeze blew their leaves. When Ada saw Richard’s calm face, she couldn’t help but shudder.

Anna followed the sun around a remote area for quite some time before finding the Moonlight Hotel brand bat in the corner. She had just entered the building when she noticed the receptionist giving her a peculiar look.

She walked upstairs just in time to see the door of one room open, and the cleaning lady was inside cleaning. Looking into the room, Anna was immediately startled.

The purple light illuminated the whole room, revealing a tall black and red sex swing right in the doorway, along with some used whips and candles scattered around. Anna immediately felt sick and realized why the hotel was located in such a remote place. At this point, she remembered that the lady at the front desk was dressed provocatively and was eyeing everyone who walked in with lustful eyes.

Anna thought to herself, “I knew Gerard was a rich womanizer, but I didn’t expect that he would be into this kind of kinky stuff.”

She walked around the fourth floor and failed to find room 419. She had just about convinced herself that Gerard was pulling a fast one when she heard a loud alarm in the hallway. Then, as everyone in the hallway began to panic, a few people who looked like managers walked over quickly.

“Hey, something happened on the top floor! Tell the store manager that!” “I just saw it, and there’s blood all over the place! Someone might be dying.” “Call the police!”

“What? We can’t call the police! We can’t let them see this hotel! Call the security, and then call an ambulance.”

It was very chaotic there, so no one even noticed Anna.

And when Anna heard that people might d upstairs, she still hit a jolt.

What? What happened? And, why didn‘t anyone here call the police?

Thinking of this, Anna immediately took out her cell phone and dialed 911. She said, “Hello, I’m at the Moonlight Hotel. Someone’s dying here! Yes, please hurr y up!”

Anna looked around after making the call and saw that no one was paying attention to her. Shre immediately went up the stairway entrance, ready to take pictures in case the police needed them.

Anna knew that this run-down hotel maybe was for p**********n. Although this place appeared to be an erotic hotel, there were actually many prostitutes working there.
